Escondido Golf & Lake Club Residences

In the late fall of 2011 I photographed two residences within Escondido. The guiding principal of Escondido involves details like authentic spanish tile roofing, rugged stone, reclaimed wood floors, and ancient wood beams, a world class golf course and club. I am looking forward to photographing a more of Escondido in the near future.

Bicycle Sport Shop

photography of the Bicycle Sport Shop Hwy. 183 location

The Bicycle Sport Shop is a terrific bike shop and an Austin institution. The business grew from a tiny shop on Barton Springs Rd., to what it is today, by being a service the Austin community. I love taking on projects for them. This time around I photographed a historical series of their bike jerseys spanning over 10 years. I also photographed their lead mechanic Al while he instructed others …continue…

Hugh Jefferson Randolph’s Harris Renovation Project

I first worked with Hugh while photographing this same property for the 2010 AIA Austin Homes Tour. Lucky for me he was so pleased with the product of that round of photographs that he asked me to return and capture more of this beautiful remodel project. Hugh Jefferson Randolph Architecture created a mix of traditional …continue…

Austonian Advertisement in Texas Monthly

Texas Monthly advertisement for the Austonian building

It’s always a treat to see my photography in print. Even more so when it is in Texas Monthly. Levenson & Hill put together this great looking spread that is in the April edition of Texas Monthly. Keep and eye out for upcoming advertisements in Texas Monthly. I have provided them with many more images, and I imagine they will make great ads.

The Austonian at sunset

Here is another round of skyline and building overview photographs for the newly completed Austonian building in downtown Austin. Austin Skyline Images for the Austonian Building

I recently had the opportunity to create images of the Austin skyline featuring the newly completed Austonian building. This is an exciting project for me because I really enjoy photographing the skyline. The Austonian is a beautiful building and as the tallest building in Austin, it certainly stands out. The wind and cold were very distracting, but I think I got a shot or two the Austonian can use. Due to …continue…

Fire Station #37 in Houston Texas

Recently I photographed a series of Fire Stations for Natex Architects in Houston, TX. Fire Station #37 was the priority and the first of the series I have worked on. I spent all day at Fire Station #37, from sunrise until after sunset. It was a pleasure. The Firefighters were a very friendly and hospitable bunch. My challenge was the lack of light for an evening shot required by the …continue…

Texas Monthly, Salt Lick Advertisement

Salt Lick Advertisement in Dec. '09 Texas Monthly

I was thumbing through the December ’09 issue of Texas Monthly and found this very appealing ad from the Salt Lick. This is one of my photographs. I took it while photographing their entire menu and a few location images, including their famous Pit. I knew they we’re running the ad in Texas Monthly, but I had forgotten about it at the time and seeing this was a fun surprise.

Photographing the Cotton Bowl at the Texas / OU Game

Buy prints from images in this collection here. Recently I have photographed several stadiums for the Architects at Heery International. Photographing the Cotton Bowl on this day is no doubt a big deal. The energy of it all was too much fun. If you have not been to this football game before; imagine one of college football’s biggest rivalries playing at the Cotton Bowl, everyone is wearing red or orange, …continue…

2009 AIA Austin Homes Tour Catalog

AIA Homes Tour Catalog Following the AIA Austin Homes Tour, I had a gander at a catalog of all the AIA homes and was quite impressed. I grabbed an extra copy for my Mom. Foda Studio did a fantastic job with the concept and design behind the booklet. I am very proud to have contributed.
