In the Fall of 2011 I was asked to photograph the 301 Congress Ave. Building. They wanted the building photographed at an angle that would reveal the entire length of the building. Due to the building position, trees, & other buildings, this was difficult to achieve. I spent a considerable amount of time scouting out possible vantage points to come to the conclusion that this was the only available lines of sight that met the clients needs. In order to get this shot, I went to the pool deck level of the Austonian and extended the camera out over the railing. I should have photographed the set up. I’m sure it looked silly to see me leaning over the railing to make sure the camera was not too far the mark and the camera extended more than 7 feet laterally beyond the building.
